Compliance

Frasers Livestock Transport is committed to a safe, professional and viable transport industry.

  • Chain of Responsibility

Fraser’s support and follow the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and the Work Health and Safety Act.  Frasers’ value the benefits of promoting and maintaining a safe transport operation for our employees, contractors, customers and other road users.

Scheduling/operations staff hold Chain of Responsibility accreditation including TLIF3063A-Administer the implementation of Fatigue Management Strategies & TLIF2092A-Chain of Responsibility regulations and awareness.

  • TruckSafe

The trucking industry’s leading safety accreditation program which clearly regulates a set of key standards covering all aspects of management, maintenance, training, on‐road compliance, fitness for duty and driver health in accordance with industry regulations and or policies.

  • TruckCare

TruckCare is an independently‐audited animal‐welfare quality assurance program for the Australian livestock Transport Industry. The program is built around the quality assurance principles contained in international standards and Australian laws. It addresses animal welfare, food safety, OH&S and biosecurity risks.

  • National Heavy Vehicle Regulator Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS)

NHVR Accreditation Scheme is a demanding formal compliance program for operators ensuring robust safety and other management systems are established.

  • National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Maintenance Management

There are eight comprehensive Maintenance Management Standards which require operators to maintain their vehicles and comply with all relevant road transport legislation.

  • National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Advanced Fatigue Management (AFM)

AFM accreditation which ensures that our drivers and schedulers are trained and monitored to the highest standard allowing them to perform a fortnightly cycle with ‘risk off‐setting’ restrictions based upon NOT driving between midnight and 4am and frequent stops for animal welfare inspections.

  • Livestock Transport Fatigue Management Scheme (LTFMS)

Specifically created to allow livestock and rural transporters the flexibility to respond to the dynamic, uncertain and complex livestock transport task. Scheme accreditation also addresses the known fatigue risks in our operations, whilst achieving compliance with the AFM standards and fatigue management requirements of the HVNL.

  • Qld Department of Transport & Main Roads Livestock Loading Concessional Scheme

Audited annually, the scheme controls the aggregate mass of the vehicle by limiting the load carrying space of the stock crate and tare weight of the vehicle. It aims to ensure that vehicles are not loaded beyond manufacturers specifications, Trucks and trailers must have a Vehicle Rating (S10) concessional livestock loading; mutual recognition of this concession applies in most states.

  • Biosecurity and Effluent Management

Frasers Livestock Transport take reasonable and practical steps to prevent or minimise biosecurity risks during the course of our business activities.

    • Fraser’s operate four washbay facilities including a 24 hour facility. Livestock trucks & trailers are regularly washed down with a pressurised water flow and broom/detergent.
    • All trailers are fitted with either shut‐off drains or effluent tanks. A large majority of the Fraser fleet operating in urban areas are fitted with tanks.
    • Pre‐trip planning and stock preparation (including appropriate water and feed curfews) are a vital part of the transport process. This responsibility is shared by all supply chain parties.
